TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN 2007-07-16
Since August 1997,I have been the hands-on president of C.W. Smith Crane Service Limited and have read and understood the Ontario Health and Safety Manuals (including November 2006) and the implications. During this period no C.S. Smith journeyman crane operator has caused an accident due to incompetence that has resulted in personal injury.
Both the Sales Managed Jeffery Robertson and thee Operations Manager Kevin Robertson hold active 339A crane operator tickets and have diversified experience to and including “big” machines to 500 tons. Both hold AZ Drivers Licenses.
All the journeymen (crane operators) hold Ontario 339A tickets and are qualified and duly competent to complete the job to which they are assigned by C.W. Smith. All their 339A and AZ tickets are clean and free of industry demerits.
We are proud of our professionalism and dedication to our trade and function on a daily basis to the Health and Safety standards set out by our government, our trade and the contractors we serve.
Starting in august 2006, the management of C.W. Smith organized a Health and Safety Day for all our employees and the contents of the program included a refresher course in safety and also touched on WHMIS and Fall Safe taught by an instructor from the Construction Safety Association for Ontario and First Aid and Emergency Response was taught by a St Johns Ambulance qualified professional nurse.
All cranes and vehicles have on board a complete Health and Safety package, a Documentation package and the required First Aid kit. All are kept current. All operators carry a valid Ontario 339A Crane Operators ticket on their person.
It is hoped that these initiatives will hold C.W. Smith Crane Service Limited in good stead as we answer your needs to make a lift on your premises.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be of service. Our operators will acquit themselves as professionals to get the job done in a timely manner taking into consideration the Health and Safety Standards that are required in today’s work place.
Yours truly,
Jean A. Smith President.
